Opened in November of 1991 at the corner of Hayes and Hall Road in the Eastlake Commons shopping center. The original Hansons store was moved for space reasons to its current location of Hall Road and Van Dyke in October of 1998. Technically speaking, in terms of raw square footage, this is the largest Hansons store.

In the fall of 1994 Kevin and Keith decided to make it three stores in the tri county area. Opening The store in Royal Oak on Rochester Road just North of 13 Mile Road gave them just that. In May 2016, an expansion that turned the former North side entry driveway into store space, the former South side exit driveway into storage/receiving space, and reconfiguration of the parking lot adding rear parking, was completed.

Opened in the Spring of 1993 at the location of another running specialty shop. Originally this store was given the nickname Hansons Running Shop The finish line as Sterling Heights was called Hansons Running Shop- The starting line. While the finish line would be moved back to allow for not one but two more store openings, this store has been relocated 3/10 of a mile north on Mack to the east side of the road.
